[lowpost.net] [faircatch.net] [striketwo.net] Add NBA Blog Headlines to Your Site
Introducing the lowpost.net widget
To include it with default lowpost.net colors, add the following code to your HTML template:
<script src="http://lowpost.net/widget/lowpost_news.js"></script>
If you'd rather apply your own style, define the classes .lowpost_widget, .lowpost_title, .lowpost_title_link, .lowpost_item, and .lowpost_item_link in your CSS file, and then add the following code:
<script src="http://lowpost.net/widget/lowpost_news_nostyle.js"></script>
Code for striketwo.net and faircatch.net is also available:
<script src="http://striketwo.net/widget/striketwo_news.js"></script> <script src="http://striketwo.net/widget/striketwo_news_nostyle.js"></script> <script src="http://faircatch.net/widget/faircatch_news.js"></script> <script src="http://faircatch.net/widget/faircatch_news_nostyle.js"></script>
UPDATE: For sites like WordPress.com that don't grant HTML template access, you can instead use a generic RSS sidebar widget with one of the lowpost.net RSS feeds (like http://lowpost.net/feed/rss2.0/) for a similar effect.
As always, contact me if you have any feedback.
Like lowpost.net, it currently tracks just under 200 blogs, summarizing common discussions and ranking the players and teams that appear—but for football-themed blogs. It also includes a week-by-week scoreboard that links to game-related previews, open threads, recaps, and analysis from sports bloggers.
One recent addition to lowpost.net that also appears there: team blogs pages. The summary ranks all teams by blog activity. From there, clicking a team name brings up a list of corresponding fan blogs.
faircatch.net is still in beta testing, so if you have any feedback or suggestions, please pass them along.
